You lie down, letting the moon bask your muzzle in its blue light. Closing your eyes, you begin to doze off, feeling your body slowly relaxing. You start to feel as though you're falling down, losing your grasp on gravity with the ground crumbling away beneath your body. With a startled gasp, you open your eyes, looking at everything around you. You feel hazy, and everything appears to be covered in blue fog, glowing lights, and dissolving darkness. Are you dreaming? What is this mystical world?

The currency for this event is Lunar Tears (LT), which are gained by exploring the Dreamlands. They can be used to purchase items from the Lunar Shoppe. Any LT you do not spend during a Lunar Dreams event cycle will remain on your account for future event cycles.
In order to access the Dreamlands, you must first gain Lunar Essence (LE), which is a secondary resource you will spend in place of Energy on explore steps. While exploring regularly will drain your Energy, exploring in the Dreamlands will drain your Lunar Essence. You cannot explore without Lunar Essence, so be sure to gather as much as you can!
When you visit the Wolvden Events page, you will be able to view how much Lunar Essence you have in total and how much you have collected for the day, as well as two separate buttons: one that takes you to the Dreamlands (if it is night time only) and one that takes you to the Lunar Shoppe (which can be accessed at any time of day, so long as the Lunar Dreams event is ongoing).
The button to visit the Dreamlands is greyed out if it is not night time, and a hover message stating "Dreamlands isn't available until night time!" will display. You cannot get around the night time requirement—the Dreamlands creatures don't want to come out until it's dim and dark!
Earning Lunar Essence
So, we have learned that Lunar Essence is required to explore the Dreamlands. How do you earn Lunar Essence, anyways?
Upon each rollover, you will generate 25 Lunar Essence automatically. This generated Lunar Essence does not count towards the 100 Lunar Essence you can earn from Explore.
When exploring the regular map during Dawn, Day, and Dusk, each time you click on the paw to take a step, you have a chance of generating either 2 or 3 Lunar Essence. This Lunar Essence is automatically applied to your account and does not require you to confirm that you would like to collect it. If you come across Lunar Essence, you will receive the following Explore text:
"Some strange sparkling dust..
+(2 or 3) Lunar Essence"
You can only gain 100 Lunar Essence through exploring each rollover, even if you expend your Lunar Essence all the way down to 0. Any Lunar Essence you have left over before rollover will carry over through rollover and will not count towards your 100 Lunar Essence daily cap. This means that if you have 50 Lunar Essence on your account before rollover, you will then have a total of 75 Lunar Essence upon rolling over, and you will still be able to gain an additional 100 Lunar Essence from exploring.
Exploring the Dreamlands
Work-in-progress.
You can explore the Dreamlands during Night time on Wolvden, provided you have the Lunar Essence to do so. Lunar Essence can only be earned during Dawn, Day, and Dusk, not at Night, so be sure to save your regular Energy until then!
If your scout is currently rescouting a biome, you will not be able to traverse that biome within the Dreamlands unless you recall your scout early.
Battling
Not everything within the Dreamlands is peaceful and serene. While exploring the Dreamlands, you can come across other creatures that will want to battle you! All Dreamlands battles will drop at least 1 Lunar Tear, regardless of your lead wolf's level. Unlike standard battle trophy drops, your lead wolf does not have to be within a set level range of a Dreamlands NPC in order to gain LT.
You'll want to battle as much as possible! Battling in the Dreamlands uses up your standard Energy, not your Lunar Essence. That being said, you can also successfully battle against lunar NPCs even if your standard Energy bar is depleted!
Other than being able to battle without Energy, Dreamlands battles work similarly to regular battles. In addition to LT, you will gain Experience and can gain Silver Cones, Medicine: Healing Salves, Meat Chunks, and stats.
Just like the Explore UI, the Battle UI also has a dream-like blue tint to indicate you are within the Dreamlands.

Lunar Shoppe
You walk into a large cave converted by crafty and skilled paws into an impressive marketplace adorned with many crystals and trinkets. There are quite a few wolves just like yourself wandering around, browsing the wares displayed on rocky shelves, hanging strings, and curled tree roots. In the darkness, everything is illuminated by the lunar essence. Its blue light creates a water-like ripple effect on the cave's stone walls.
In the most visible area, you find two Cnitharian wolves who are busy organising and trading. It's safe to assume these ladies are in charge of this place.
"Hello! Let us know if you're interested in purchasing anything. We accept all Lunar Tears, as long as they aren't cracked!" The wolf's excited voice makes you feel very welcomed.
"We just might accept coyote tears, too," adds the other wolf, chuckling gently as she combs her jellyfish-like veils.

Lore
The Lunar Dreams event lore is scarce, though there are plans to build it up as time goes on. The current lore for the event is in regard to the creatures found within the Dreamlands, which was brought up in the first Lunar Event News post.
"Aggressive Pherris creatures come from the northern areas of the world. Their fur is long, and their reddish colour is based on iron, which they specialise in smithing by using lunar essence. Whenever the Dreamworld lights up, they venture out to claim more land. You may notice their battle paints and creations. The name comes from an English word for "iron" or "ruddy".
Volukros creatures specialise in stealth. They have feathered growths and darker tones, and they inhabit the warm tropical forests of the south. As the world gets warmer, they are able to wander further north to pillage new lands for lunar essence, thus clashing with the Pherris warriors. The name was inspired by French words for "flying" and "plunder".
Cnitharian creatures have jellyfish-like tendrils, pulsating patterns of light, veils, and other various mutations. These beings are peaceful and inhabit the entirety of the Dreamworld. They specialise in trade and enjoy dancing and music. The name was inspired by the Latin name for the phylum of these strange aquatic creatures that inspired the designs."
While this is not integral to the Dreamlands, the Cnitharian wolves that run the Lunar Shoppe are canonically female and are in a relationship with each other, as confirmed by a site developer within a player-made theory topic. These two ladies are unofficially referred to as Curiosity (left) and Cassiopeia (right) by the playerbase.
